Hosted desktop: Data security

Extrasys dramatically reduces your business's exposure to data security risks.

Protect your data in use

When you log on to your hosted desktop you are creating a secure link to our data centres and no information is stored on your local device. The login page is encrypted using SSL and, along with a user name and password, you have to type in a one-time code from your personal security token.

This means that your business's data cannot be stolen from or corrupted by the device or the local network you are working from.

Protect your data in transit

This is especially important when working on wireless networks, no matter how secure they claim to be.

Protect your data on our servers

Three levels of leading anti-virus protection protect the data you keep on our server against corruption and malicious damage. Accidental deletion, or overwriting is combatted using the latest Snapshot technology so you can quickly retrieve files.

Protect your machines

Since Extrasys hosted desktop applications are virtual, they are never actually installed on your device. Your operating system - which can be Windows, Mac or Linux - remains untouched and less prone to infection or degradation. This way of working means that your machines do not become obsolete as they do no local processing of applications.
